If you’re hosting this holiday season, it’s important to make sure you have options for everyone. While alcoholic beverages may be the go-to, make sure you have plenty of alcohol-free options for guests who may not drink or who may just want some other options available. If you agree that everyone deserves to feel welcome and non-drinkers shouldn’t have an inferior party experience, here is some of our advice on how you can have a good party without alcohol (or at least with some nonalcoholic options) this holiday season.
Simplify the Workload for Yourself
Providing guests with lots of options for what to drink shouldn’t have to mean more work for you as the host. That’s why the more pre-mixed drinks you can offer guests, the better! Pre-mixed definitely doesn’t have to mean low-quality, which Boisson proves with our House Mixed Cocktails in Cans. You’ll get a variety of options for guests, all pre-mixed and served in cans for convenience.
Preparation of drinks isn’t the only thing to consider. Individually portioned alcohol-free drinks whether they are bottles or cans simplify things even more. Not only does this make it easier for guests to know exactly what type of drink they’re reaching for, but it also means you don’t have to supply glassware for dozens of guests. Best of all, there are no dishes for you to do after the guests are gone!

Diversify Your Alcohol-Free Options
At most holiday parties, alcohol-free drinks can feel like an afterthought. Even if you have something beyond just water for guests to drink, many hosts only offer one option. If you have multiple alcoholic drink options for guests, get multiple alcohol-free options as well.
Boisson makes it easy with our bundles because we allow you to get many alcohol-free beverages at once, saving you shopping time, prep time, and money. For example, we have a House Mixed Red Wine Case that allows your guests to enjoy 12 of our best-selling alcohol-free reds. We offer similar bundles such as our House Mixed Lights Beers, House Mixed Sparkling Rosé Case, and more! Selecting any of these (or a combo!) for your guests will make everyone feel seen and cared for. And it will take some of the stress and guesswork out of what to serve non-drinkers!
Have a Drink That Works with or Without Alcohol
If you want to serve at least one signature drink at your party, you should choose something that tastes great with alcohol but is just as good without. Something with eggnog, cranberry, orange, or ginger will help put everyone in a festive spirit. You can mix it up ahead of time so you don’t have to spend the entire evening behind the bar.

Then you can have two pitchers, one with the alcohol variation and one with the sober variation. Just triple-check that you’ve clearly labeled both so no one has an unfortunate mix-up.
Communicate That You’re Having an Alcohol-Free Social
To make sure guests who don’t drink attend your event and have a good time once they arrive, make sure that you’re doing a good job communicating the options in a way that doesn’t single any of your friends out. If you send an invitation, add a note explaining that “alcoholic and alcohol-free beverages will be provided” whether this is via email, text, or old-fashioned paper invitations. Label everything and, for good measure, make an announcement at the beginning of the party explaining the options and where they are located in the venue.
