A flavorful, smooth and balanced red with a beautiful tannin structure.

Ruby red in color. Red cherry and blackcurrant on the nose. The palate shows dark berry fruit and spice, with beautiful layered tannins on the finish.

Pairs well with meat as well as tomato based dishes and tapas.

Maybe unlucky on the 2nd bottle?

I originally would have placed (and did purchase again) this red from Misty Cliffs as a close rival to noughty rouge in the 'closest you can get to the real thing - signed former real thing snob' category. However… this new bottle just opened is far from smooth and rich and is instead, while tasty, dare I say, effervescent if not down right 'sparkling'. It's more like a lambrusco in this case, rather than a cab/mellow. Hoping the other bottle ordered is more like the one I originally 'fell in love with'. :-)

    Hits the Spot

Based on the many reviews I’ve looked up when trying to find a good N/A red wine, it appears that it’s difficult to really hit the mark when it comes to reds. Red wine is my favorite and this did not disappoint. It really tastes like the real deal! Recommend to anyone who enjoys a dry deep red.

    Solid NA red option

I’ve been drinking NA wines for a few months now and I’ve experienced a taste of the highs and lows. From the lows (watery grape juice) to highs which aren’t just sweet and have depth and tannins. I’d say this is a solid middle option. From a former big red high ABV red wine lover I lean towards liking the ones with tannin. This one has a medium body and taste perfect for casual drinking. Will be repurchasing.

    So So

I did not care for this red. It did not taste like "real" wine. It was more like grape juice. I won't buy this one again

    No hint of wine

Has a distinctive taste, but nothing resembling red wine
