Sovi’s Reserve Red is an elegantand savory style red wine. An intriguing blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon and 48% Petite Sirah fermented in stainless steel, with Petite Sirahaged in French and American oak barrels.
The genesis for the inaugural release of our Reserve Red was their discovery of ahidden gem: Petite Sirah that was almost forgotten in the cellar with beautifully richberry flavors and developed oak aromas from aging in French and American barrelsfor several years. Sovi blended it with young Cabernet Sauvignon to bring freshness,structure and tannin to the final wine. Vegan, gluten free, low-calorie with no added sugar, this wine is ideal for special gatherings with friends and family, holiday parties, or date nights.

Out of all the NA wines I’ve tried this one is most like the real thing. I was absolutely floored when I initially smelled it in my glass. On the nose were very jammy dark fruits and obvious oak. Tasting it the wine is much more sour than the impression I got just smelling it. However everything from the viscosity and tannins and mouthfeel felt the most like alcoholic wine than all others I’ve tried. The only issue is that I was sent a Tempranillo blend as opposed to the Petite Sirah blend in the description. I’d really like to try the petite sirah blend as when I did drink alcoholic wines I loved the higher ABV dark fruit jammy reds. Am already repurchasing this wine.

I'm still searching for a NA wine which doesn't contain additional grape products and/or sugar. Despite the fact that this has added grape flavor, it's probably the closest to red wine with alcohol that I've tried so far. I will continue to search, but I would buy this again.

I had really high hopes for this wine after reading the description and some of the reviews but it unfortunately underperformed to my expectations. The mouthfeel is good, but like many other NA red wines it still tastes very very metallic to my palette. Even after breathing for a while it became more and more tart and undrinkable. It’s also comparatively really expensive. I’ve heard from some friends who no longer drink alcohol that after a while they forget how alcoholic red wine tastes, but I do still partake (just looking to moderate more) so maybe that’s why the taste is so far off for me. For now, I guess the hunt for a great dealcoholized red wine is still on!
